Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is Mexican-born musician born into a family of musicians. Her early years were spent listening to classical music, boleros from the past, and the traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as the dramatic and opera performances. Her mother taught her to sing. However, she started intensive singing lessons by Flavio Belcerra when she was just 16 years old. Belcerra was an internationally acclaimed Mexican opera singer and tenor. She continued her musical training in the School of Music of Guadalajara University, then at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a student, and as a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups as well as choruses. When she moved into the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present home in the southern part of California. She's a frequent solo performer for private events and parties singing traditional Latin American Music. Alongside being an instructor and performer in the local area the passion for music and art keeps her engaged in a wide range of different projects. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at the Performance Loft. Ana enjoys singing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes to inspire others to sing the same.
