MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen him break into mainstream Latin music. In the year 2017, his 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. He released his debut long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. It peaked at number eight at the top of the Top Latin Albums chart. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia came out as his collaborative effort with Noriel in 2020. In the following year, Dopamina came out as his sophomore album. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her most streamed song Maldita Foto. A 2023 release of 2000 with the massively popular La Bachata. Turizo is a product of a family of musicians both his parents are musicians. In interviews he has described participating in music as compulsory. He learned how to play guitar, saxophone ukulele, and piano as an infant. The first choice for his career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under the help of a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he realized his talents for singing, and the result transformed his career path.
